Our first design and build was for DGSE based out of Australia for the Athens games 2004. We built suites for the IOC Olympic Lounge, NBC Television, Sports Illustrated and Sports Illustrated night club on the beach.
We helped develop the design and suggest materials as well as suggest alternatives that suited the build schedule and length of time the product had to be functional.
We designed and built all items in the UK and shipped to Athens. We recycled what we could in Athens at the end of the project although there were few facilities to do so. All the furniture was brought back to the UK and helped the furniture hire business we had started in 2002.
We designed light features and all the furniture combining bought furniture from MFI and Ikea as well as local furniture makers. Our production workshops built tables, Banquettes and dividing walling as well producing bespoke graphic inserts to walling. We ironically had 5ft high pots made in Shropshire to take to Athens with the Olympic rings in the front face.
We worked with the Olympic supply network in the rather challenging environment of pre games Athens but the work we did got us the invite to join the same client in Torino in 2006.
Torino Games 2006 was a very different environment and a much more bespoke environment was designed and created for the IOC lounge. We also built suites for NBC television and Jhn Hancock Bank , including board rooms, bars, dining areas and a night time party venue.
The venue of the Palazzo Madama in central Torino was an amazing environment to work in. It had recently been opened after 40 years of restoration and we were entrusted to come in and dress this beautiful environment. We built bars, an ice cream parlour, bespoke dining rooms, a full servery with seating and dining for 500 pax in what was the first government building of the united Italy.
All furniture for the IOC lounge was designed and built by our team in Shropshire with Queen Anne tables and matching chair sets as well as extravagant side chairs and tables, all in the Queen Anne style.
The other lounges were very much styled for the American board room style but all laminated in lay tables and designer reception desks were built in our warehouses in the UK and shipped over. We used local Italian furniture suppliers through one of our UK manufacturers connections keeping trucking and people numbers down as much as possible.
For John Hancock bank we built a suite at a lakeside hotel which catered for a mid western clientele with a very different design and feel from the central Torino venues.
We kept our relationship with DGSE and started looking at 2008 Olympics. We set a workshop up in Beijing and one in Shanghai ready for building but at the last minute due to the “credit crunch” our UK budgets were pulled and we didn’t proceed with any builds although we contributed to some design elements and consulting.
For 2012 our home Olympics we looked forward to the possibility of working at our home games. We were introduced to Iluka and we were brought on board to look at several projects for their sponsor clients on both the Olympic park and in central London.

We worked on 6 suites, delivering both bespoke and off the shelf solutions for 6 very different client looks and feel and client games needs.
We closed our UK manufacturing facility in 2013 and moved to Italy but we run our consultancy from the UK for the mostly UK client base and the combination of working in Italy and having UK clients has been the main driving force for developing our post Brexit business.
We have been approached by three clients for the 2026 winter games in Italy so the combination of our local services and Olympic experience is getting us noticed. As we start site visits and design meetings we are driving sustainability as part of our deliverables and we know we can deliver having worked here for 12 years on a wide scope of projects.
We hope to help clients realise their clients needs in what can be a challenging environment for foreign companies.
Looking forward to speaking to client’s about how we can help as we get into projects for 2026 and about how our experience and consultation services can be used for future hospitality design and build projects.
